Training at ELGI

Training is one of the PLANNED activity in ELGI to increase JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS or to modify the ATTITUDES and BEHAVIOR of ELGIAN in a way that is consistent with the GOALS of the ORGANIZATION and the individual.

Staying competitive is the key to sustainability, to own this key ELGI strongly believes in training ELGIAN’s, keeping them motivated and up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to achieve the vision HORIZON 2015.

ELGI provides a true learning culture continuously challenging its own methods and ways of doing things. Quality Systems at ELGI

ELGI believes in Quality Standards that ensures right first time. ELGI’s efforts are focused in achieving the same. To us the right product is the one which is a ‘Fit & Forget’ type. We follow ISO 9001:2000 standards and have addressed the system in such a way that it places us in the irreversible path to achieve our belief. We are also certified for our Quality systems by Association of American Railroads, US and Institute for supply management – Rail Industry Forum, Canada.

Quality at ELGI is strengthened and supported by Quality circle activities. We have 44 Quality circles operating in our Organization. Commitment and the vigor shown by our personnel at the operatives level keeps the Quality circle activity vibrant and add value to the company’s product. ELGI has started looking at its processes critically through Six Sigma way. Thirty black belts in the organization, work on Six Sigma projects and are bringing substantial process improvements and gains to the company.

A robust vendor Quality improvement system ensures ELGI’s objective of maintaining mutual customer supplier relationship. The system supports the supplier and encourages the suppliers in pursuing improvement activities at his end.

ELGI’s unique ‘Customer Care System’ addresses customer’s complaints and ensures prompt service to the customer. The system helps us maintain the history of our products at customer and the history which will be used to correctly diagnose the issues in ELGI products at customer end and solve them.
