ELGi Empowers Customers with an Expanded Range of EG Super Premium and EG Permanent Magnet Series Compressors

New EG Permanent Magnet 55 kW model and EG Super Premium 200 kW and 250 kW models deliver higher efficiency, improved free air delivery, and lower total cost of ownership

Belgium, 12 February 2026: ELGi Compressors Europe, a subsidiary of Elgi Equipments Limited, has expanded its its EG Series portfolio with new, higher-capacity additions to the EG Permanent Magnet (PM) Series and the EG Super Premium (SP) Series oil lubricated screw compressor ranges. These latest developments strengthen the EG Series portfolio and reflect ELGi’s focus on scaling proven technologies to meet rising customer demand for higher power, greater efficiency and sustainability at a lower total cost of ownership.

The EG PM range has been expanded from 11-45 kW to 11-55 kW with the introduction of a new 55 kW model. Designed for applications with varying load profiles, including sustained operation at full load, the EG PM Series delivers up to 15 percent improved energy efficiency and an increase in free air delivery of up to 16 percent. The compressors feature a high efficiency drive system with a proprietary IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motor developed specifically for ELGi airends. With motor efficiencies between 96.5 percent and 97.6 percent, the system reduces energy consumption and helps lower carbon footprint.

A directly coupled design ensures optimal alignment of motor and airend speeds, particularly in variable speed applications, while an intelligent thermal valve maintains stable oil temperatures across changing ambient conditions. Operation is managed through the Neuron 4 controller, which optimises energy usage, supports reliable performance and enables proactive maintenance.

In parallel, ELGi has expanded the EG Super Premium range from 75 – 160 kW up to 75 – 250 kW, with the addition of new 200 kW and 250 kW models. These compressors are equipped with newly configured two-stage airends using the proven η-V profile, optimising the compression process and delivering up to a 15 percent reduction in specific power consumption. Low speed airends and reduced load on each compression stage helps extend component life, while IE4 motors further enhance overall efficiency.

The EG Super Premium units include a unique oil filter with a service life of up to 4,000 hours to support long term durability and reliability. Additionally, all units are fitted with the Neuron 4 industrial controller and are fully compatible with Air~Alert, ELGi’s IoT-based monitoring solution, enabling 24/7 global remote monitoring, improved uptime and enhanced energy efficiency.
