Chris Ringlstetter is responsible for ELGi’s European operations, including Rotair. With over 25 years of business leadership experience at a global leading industrial company, his career has spanned application engineering, marketing, service and sales management, and product management. He was the President of the air treatment division of a leading industrial company – a $200 million global business with full P&L responsibilities, including three manufacturing facilities. Chris has worked across multiple countries spanning the US, Germany, Italy, England and Belgium. He speaks English, German and Italian fluently.
Prior to joining ELGi, Chris was the European President of Luminator Technology Group, which makes passenger information systems for the mass transit and aerospace industries. In this role, he held full P&L responsibilities over Europe, ME, Africa and Asia and led two manufacturing facilities.
Ringlstetter has an MBA from Duke University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
Giuseppe Donadio is the Managing Director of Rotair S.p.A. and has worked at Rotair S.p.A. for 34 years – this is also where he acquired his knowledge of the compressed air industry. Within the company, Giuseppe had the opportunity to experience working in all sectors, starting from the hands-on assembly of machines, over the Purchase Department to the Export Sales Office – accomplishing a world-wide expansion of Rotair products to over 60 different countries. In 2012, the family company Rotair S.p.A. then joined the ELGi group and Giuseppe remained the Managing Director. Giuseppe is very proud of being a part of the ELGi group, which to him is like a big family with an ambitious objective: To become the second largest air compressor manufacturer worldwide. He firmly believes this objective can be achieved.
Graziano Dal Tio is responsible for the Sales & Service organisation in Italy, where he is also based. He has over 30 years of experience in the compressed air industry, with roles such as a Country Leader Southern Europe for another major air compressor manufacturer. In his role as Regional Manager, he envisions to lead by example. Teamwork is a must for him and he firmly believes that ELGi is an extraordinary company to work for where aspirations, dreams and professional goals of our employees can become reality making every day of our life 'Always Better'.
Nils Blanchard is responsible for the Sales & Service organisation in France, where he is based. He has almost 20 years of experience in the compressed air industry, having held several roles from Sales Support to Direct & Distribution Sales Manager for another major air compressor manufacturer. For Nils, success is to help customers save on their compressed air installation, providing them not only with products but with a comprehensive solution to help them concentrate on their core business. Nils joined ELGi because of its clear vision and the best brand promise, helping to deliver every day solutions to our customers that are 'Always Better'. Nils is focused on developing ELGi as the most trusted leading compressed air partner in France.
Terry McGuire is responsible for the Sales & Service organisation in UK & Ireland, and he is based in Manchester, UK. He has over 40 years of experience in the compressed air industry, having worked in many European countries and the Middle East. He successfully managed organisations with over 100 people in the UK & Middle East and delivered growth in both regions. Excellence in customer service is paramount to him, whether it be in parts, sales or routine servicing. Terry joined ELGi because he admires the ambitious but tangible vision of ELGi and wants to contribute to it by establishing successful business operations in UK & Ireland. His vision is to grow the market share beyond expectations through solid partners who recognise ELGi as a fair and trusted partner.
Tord Sandberg is responsible for the Sales & Service organisation in the Nordics, and he is based in Sweden. He has almost 30 years of experience in the compressed air industry, having worked for major compressed air manufacturers both on the direct & distribution side. Tord is proud of all the people he has hired in his career and is proud to witness their growth. In his role as Regional Manager, he envisions to build the best team and workplace in the industry with a view to delivering the best service to partners and end customers.
Victor Escolano Marco is responsible for the Sales & Service organisation in Iberia, and he is based in Madrid, Spain. Victor has almost 15 years of work experience in the compressed air industry, both in Aftermarket and Sales. Victor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and a Master's Degree in Fluids & Energy Industrial Engineering. For him, there are many reasons why ELGi is so different - the vision, culture and people specifically. In his role as Regional Manager, Victor wants to share ELGi's culture with his team and partners and wants to pursue our 'Always Better' path.
Jean-François Burhin, responsible for the European HR strategy, processes and policies is based at the headquarters in Waterloo, Belgium. With over 25 years of working experience in his field, Jean-François joined ELGi because he was looking for challenges, autonomy, respect for people and partners, continuous learning and fun - all of which he can combine in his current role with ELGi Europe. Jean-François envisions to get the basics right while formulating and implementing the European HR Strategy that supports ELGi Europe's business strategy. His ambition is to be a guide through the entire life cycle of all European based employees.
Laurent Lai is responsible for ELGi Europe’s Finances covering accounting, treasury and business analysis and is also taking care of legal and IT matters. Laurent has a very broad Finance background with over 20 years of experience, started with audit at Ernst & Young, and then in various finance position in international companies.
Laurent joined ELGi for the unique challenge of setting up and develop the Finance department across Europe. He values the enthusiasm of ELGi’s employees and Channel Partners to grow and is convinced by the quality of the products and services we offer.
Rodrigo Varela is responsible for ELGi Europe’s Strategy, including Channel Development. Rodrigo has over 20 years of experience with General Motors, Medel (now Philips) and another major air compressor manufacturer. His career has spanned product design and engineering, quality, lean business management, project and product management and business transformation. He has worked in multiple countries, including Argentina, Italy, Ireland and Belgium. Rodrigo speaks Spanish, English and Italian fluently. Rodrigo has an MBA from UCD Smurfit School of Business in Dublin, Ireland and a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Catholic University in Cordoba, Argentina.
ELGi captivated Rodrigo with its long term vision and its Conquer K2 goal to be the second largest air compressor manufacturer in the world. In his role, Rodrigo will support this goal through organizational alignment and actions. He has encountered an ever-learning organisation where blue-sky thinking is encouraged and with social responsibility at its core.
Roger Savo is responsible for ELGi Europe's Aftermarket strategy, including the parts strategy and service offerings. He has over 25 years of work experience with companies such as Agfa-Gevaert, always working in the field of Aftermarket & Service, Sales & Marketing and Business Development. Prior to his role at ELGi, he was the Global Business Development Manager for the compressor technique services division of a major air compressor manufacturer, managing products for a $120 million global business. Roger has worked in multiple countries, including countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Belgium. He speaks English, French and Arabic fluently. Roger also holds an MBA from the American University of Science and Technology, California.
Dr. Jairam Varadaraj serves as the Managing Director of Elgi Equipments Ltd. and Board Member of Elgi Ultra Industries Ltd., Elgi Rubber Co., Magna Electro Castings, Precot Meridian Ltd. and Thermax Ltd. Dr. Varadaraj is a third-generation entrepreneur from the illustrious business family of LRG Naidu. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Varadaraj has led and guided the organisation’s business interests in textiles, polymers, mechanical machines and consumer appliances. Prior to which, for around four years, he was engaged in teaching and research in the United States.
Dr. Varadaraj is ex Chairman of the Tamil Nadu State Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and past member of the Southern Region Council of CII. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University, USA, and a PhD in international business from the University of Michigan, USA. He owns the distinction of holding four patents in the fields of compressors, drive belts, consumer appliances and food manufacturing.
Ramesh Ponnuswami, Executive Director is responsible for the Elgi Business System across all functions globally. In addition, he leads the ELGi Purpose program as well as the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. In his previous roles, Ramesh was responsible for ELGi’s business regions, OSEA and ISAAME, and was also the Managing Director of ATS ELGI Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ELGi. He continues to serve as a Director of ATS ELGI Limited. He joined ELGi in November 2011.
Prior to joining ATS ELGI, he was with the EID Parry (India) Limited, a Murugappa Group company, as Vice President – Operations. He was with Parry for ten years, handling several roles involving sugar, power and distillery plant operations, sales, and marketing. He also led the project team that engineered, built, and commissioned Asia’s largest port-based sugar refinery. Before joining Parry, Ramesh Ponnuswami worked for five-and-a-half years at Sugar Research Limited in Australia as business development manager, responsible for selling technology and services to sugar companies worldwide.
Ramesh Ponnuswami holds a mechanical engineering degree from India and an MBA from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He was part of the Murugappa Group Business Leadership Program.

Brian Pahl is responsible for ELGi North America business. Brian is a transformational leader with a proven track record of leading strategic planning, restricting operations, and executing inorganic and organic growth initiatives. He joined ELGi from Pfeiffer Vacuum where he served as the President of North America. Prior to Pfeiffer, Brian spent time in various strategic, commercial, and operational leadership roles at Denios and Mann & Hummel. Brian has an MBA from the University of Findlay in Ohio.
Bhavesh Karia is responsible for the ELGi business in India, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. With a robust career spanning 27 years, Bhavesh brings extensive expertise, particularly in the Oil and Gas, Pipeline Infra, Power, and Infrastructure sectors. He has previously worked for Man Industries, Welspun Corp, Larsen & Toubro, and Aswan International Engineering. Bhavesh is a production engineer and has done his Management Education Program (MEP) at IIM Ahmedabad.
Indranil is responsible for financial operations at ELGi. As a commerce graduate and a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), he has a wealth of experience across various sectors. He has progressively held finance leadership roles at EY, KPMG, and PWC, in addition to a significant role at the US-based IT multinational, Symphony Teleca Corporation. Before his tenure at ELGi, Indranil was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Biocon Ltd.
Bheemsingh Melchisedec serves as the Director of Operations at ELGi. In his previous assignment, he served as the President and Board of directors for Rane Light Metal Castings America Inc., USA, where he led the company's operational turnaround. He was instrumental in winning the Deming Grand Prize for Rane Brake Lining Limited. He was with the Rane group for over 16 years before joining ELGi. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from OUBS, UK. He also did courses in the field of Manufacturing Excellence, Strategy, and Leadership from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, ISB Hyderabad, and NUS, Singapore. Before the Rane group, he was with the Murugappa group and MRF Ltd.
Dr. K. Venu Madhav is responsible for new product development, technology development and innovation with a view to meeting global market requirements. He has close to 24 years of industrial experience and has been with ELGi since 1998, barring a short stint in a research organisation after his master’s degree. Dr. Venu has played a pivotal role in designing air ends and has been singularly responsible for bringing the “know why” of rotor design to the company. Venu Madhav holds a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in compressors from City University, London. He has several technical publications and 2 patents in compressor technology to his credit. Apart from this, he enjoys playing badminton with his children and reading during his leisure time.
Dr Premendra is responsible for Corporate Strategy at ELGi and its subsidiaries, including ATS ELGI, and also leads Product Management Organization and Digital functions at ELGi. He joined ELGi in March 2023. Before joining ELGi, he worked with JK Paper Ltd. as Vice President - Strategy. Prior to that, he has worked with Roland Berger and Toyota Motor Europe.
Premendra has a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Metallurgical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur) and doctoral degree in Materials Science, with specialization in corrosion and electrochemistry, from Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). He has completed one-year full-time MBA (PGPX) from Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). He has authored several research publications and a patent.
Nitesh Jain holds the position of Chief Human Resource Officer at ELGi. Prior to joining ELGi, he served as the Senior Vice President - Human Resources at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Throughout his career, Nitesh has held various roles of increasing responsibility at esteemed organizations such as Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Arvind Mills, and Crompton Greaves. His extensive experience includes managing and collaborating with global teams, with expertise in Talent Strategy, Organizational Design, Change Management, Learning & Development, Rewards & Recognition, and Performance Management.
Nitesh holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Application from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India. Additionally, he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, India.
