I graduated from the ELGi Matriculation School in 2013 and feel nostalgic about spending a solid fourteen years at this excellent institution. Today, I'm a software engineer working at Accenture Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, for three years. I firmly believe that the excellent educational foundation provided by the ELGi School helped me achieve professional success in my career today.
Apart from the curriculum, ELGi has imparted ethical values in me. And I believe these have had a significant impact on my personal and professional life. ELGi never allowed me to feel the stress of board exams and guided me to come out with flying colors. With further encouragement from ELGi School, I completed my electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) at Sri Krishna College of Technology and got placed at Accenture. I am thankful to the institution and its faculty.
Here is my message to the young scholars at the ELGi school "You are at the right place; shape yourself with education, communication skills, and extracurricular activities, and you will see opportunities knock on your door. Shape yourself as better individuals to become what you want to be in the future."
I am very nostalgic about the days I spent at the ELGi Matriculation School. I completed my MBBS from Georgia, Europe, and I'm currently working as a Junior Doctor at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore. Becoming a doctor was my ambition! The strong foundation at ELGi helped me achieve it.
Our Teachers are the best shapers of our lives after our parents. My Tamil teacher, Mrs. Virgin Mary, is my all-time favourite. I still fondly remember that moment of appreciation received at the school assembly in front of all the students and teachers when I won a national award for abacus.
The best thing about the ELGi school is that it brings out its student's talents and appreciates them immensely. I am happy to be part of the ELGi School alumni and am thankful to all my teachers who have supported and guided me throughout my school days, helping me achieve my career aspirations.
I completed my studies at the ELGi school and graduated in 2014. I am grateful to all my teachers, who have been very supportive and encouraging throughout my school days. I have seen the ELGi school continuously imparting new skills to its students. I remember practicing yoga and karate during my early school days.
Participating in extracurricular activities and competing with students from other schools has built confidence and shaped me as a better individual. Today, I work at a start-up in Chennai.
My message to all the students at the school "You are at the right place, make sure to use all the opportunities and privileges around you, and you will reach great heights."
I was part of the 2014 batch at the ELGi School, and I'm proud to introduce myself as a budding Chartered Accountant working at an auditing firm.
I remember getting elected as the School Pupil Leader in my final year, and it turned out to be a significant milestone in my school life. It taught me the importance of leadership, communication, and public speaking skills.
I also remember receiving appreciation from the Late Chairman Mr. L G Varadaraj. His humble and compassionate nature inspired me. I am grateful to the teachers for their motivation and guidance throughout my school life and feel they have stood behind me like the pillars of strength in building my student and professional life.
My advice to the students of today "Make the best possible use of the opportunities and resources that are available around you."
I belong to the 2013 batch of ELGI Matriculation School. Today, I am pursuing my doctorate in English Literature.
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the ELGi School is its vast library filled with an extensive collection of books. As a schoolgirl, I visited the library several times, feeling quite like Alice in Wonderland. It was a place where anyone can fall in love with reading. This love for reading nurtured by the school library led me to take up literature and helped me to author the book "Tones of Silence."
Being the Head Girl of ELGi School in 2012-13, I organized, planned, and executed many activities, which provided new learnings. I understood that "meticulous work yields the best results." The ELGi School recognizes its students for what they are, what they do, and what they can do.
I currently work as a Solution Database Architect in the IT industry, based out of the USA. I joined the ELGi Matriculation School in the second grade (1990-98 batch).
I remember that I did not know to read or write Tamil when I joined the school. My teachers Mrs. Mallika and Mrs. Radha, trained and taught me with so much dedication. And within three months, I became proficient in the language, surprising them all. I am very thankful to both of them and everyone at the ELGi school, i.e., my teachers, the watchmen, and the school bus drivers. All were close to my heart and always felt like family.
The ELGi School has been my foundation. My interpersonal skills, attitude towards life, discipline, and every good thing I learned were from the ELGi School. I am thankful to the management and teachers for what I am today.
My hearty congratulations to the students, teachers, and the management for their new adventure, moving to a best-in-class campus.
My message to the students is, "listen to the teachers, be disciplined, and move forward with self-discipline. The teachers nurture you better, fine-tune you better, and everything that comes out of you is the best."
I belong to the 1998-2000 batch of the ELGi School. I am currently working as a Sales Manager for a trading Company in Muscat, Oman. I feel very proud to be an alumnus of the ELGi School.
School days are unforgettable in one's life. My school days played a significant role in building my character, which helps me navigate race in this competitive world.
Among the many things I have learned from ELGi School, I adopted discipline, self-control, and knowledge. Today I am a proud father passing these three qualities to my children, and I am confident they will follow them.
My advice to the students is, "focus on learning, and that will lead you to greater heights in your future."
I passed out from the ELGi School in the millennium. After completing my engineering and master's degree, I am currently working in the information technology space for a big retail chain based out of the Netherlands.
ELGi has taught me the fundamentals. The teachers are the stepping stone to success in a student's life. I still remember my faculty, and I am very grateful to all of them.
My message to the students "be curious about whatever you learn and learn it in depth. It is not about mastering everything. What is essential is that irrespective of any subject, one needs to learn it well. Ask many questions to the faculty because they also learn along with you. The teachers, too, are students in a way. They improve their knowledge day by day to meet the modern needs of their students." This relationship between student and teacher triggers good knowledge sharing.
I am excited about the new ELGi Campus in Mahalingapuram, Coimbatore.
I have completed my doctorate in biochemistry and currently working as a senior unit manager for a diagnostic laboratory in Gulf. My research focuses on the therapeutic utilization of a Marine plant called Ola to treat cardiovascular diseases in human beings.
I feel happy to say that I am a proud alumnus of the ELGi School, where I have spent 14 years at a stretch, right from kindergarten to high school.
At school, we were taught human values, and that's something incredible. Whenever I get an opportunity to share my thoughts, I have always remembered and spoken about our Late Chairman, Mr. L.G. Varadaraj, and his contribution to education.
For all the budding students at ELGi, "you are at the best place, and I wish you all reach great heights in your professional and personal life."
